Immigrants from the North
I sometimes wonder what the radical right's reaction would be if boatloads of Scandinavian blondes with very little clothing start reaching our shores on a regular basis.
Would they let the 'poor ladies' rot in detention camps or would they queue to host them in their homes? Would the country be able to afford taking care of them or would they be deemed as the ultimate national burden?
I wonder...
...Of course the Right would say that it would make no difference. I don't really believe it though. Do you?

Heheh i think that the link was rather impropriate in such context since you'd find brunettes in such form of non-clothing. Oh gosh I really can't believe liberal peklectrick is:

That's the whole point :P You're generalising about blondes and about Scandinavians and using a link that's rather irrelevant.
Naaaahhh...I'm not generalising. I didn't say that all Scandinavians are blonde, or all blondes are Scandinavian, or all blondes wear clothes like that, or Scandinavains for that matter.
I just said that in my hypothetical situation the people coming would all be blonde, female and would be wearing little clothing. It's an imaginary situation. One cannot be discriminatory in imagination.
The link was thus very relevant because it gave a picture of the type of girls that might be on board these imaginary boats.

by the way, it already happened. remember back in the early nineties when hundreds (if not more) of refugees from yugoslavia came to malta. although they were fully clothed, no one complained.
I don't think the Russians would hurl stones at residents' cars in Birzebbugia.
In any case, if they are just leeches and pretend to live off our taxes, then yes, why not, they should be kicked out of this country.

Talking to people is not tantamount to a sociological study.
Let's take your argument up a notch and start saying the Maltese are violent (we've had murders) and rapists (we've had these as well) and a significant number of them were Maltese. Hence being Maltese causes one to rape and murder. Sounds ridiculous? My point exactly.
Besides calling something a fact doesn't make it so.
